FIREX QUICKDET nonelectric blast initiation syste was developed for a variety of blasting applications, including construction, surface and underground blasting.  They eliminate the need to inventory various in-hole delays and provide fast, simple hook-ups while allowing an unlimited number of holes to be shot with independent hole initiation.  A QUICKDET unit consists of a surface delay detonator housed in a plastic connector and a precise in-hole delay detonator, linked by a length of shock tube.  They are available in a variet of lengths and delay times.

FireX™ MS Connector

FIREX MS CONNECTOR nonelectric delay detonators consist of an 46 cm (18 inch) length of shock tube with detonators of the same delay on each end.  The detonators are housed in connector blocks designed to accept detonating cord quickly, easily and securely.  MS CONNECTORS are used to provide millisecond delay timing between holes of detonating cord initiatied blasts.  They are available in delay times ranging fro 9 to 109 milliseconds.

FIREX LEADLINE nonelectric shock tube is FIREX shock tube spooled at the factory in 763 m (2,500 ft) lengths for easy application and deployment.  FIREX LEADLINE provides maximu flexibility to the blaster in choosing a position of safety from which to initiate nonelectric blast rounds in either underground or surface applications.

FIREX ELECTRIC LP is a high strength, long period delay electric detonator available in 19 distinct periods from 0.025 to 5.1 seconds.  This series of detonators provides the long delay times necessary for improved relief and fragmentation in underground mining (non-coal) and construction applications such as drift development, raise, shafts, slopes and tunnels.  FIREX ELECTRIC LP can also be used for certain surface blasting applications, such as pipeline work, where long delay periods are advantageous.

FIRELINE T detonating cords are flexible linear explosives with a core of PETN explosive encased in a textile outer jacket.  FIRELINE T  detonating cord detonates along its entire length at a velocity of approximately 7,000 m/s (23,000 ft/s).  FIRELINE T detonating cords are designed for use as trunklines and/or downlines in various mining, quarrying and construction applications.
