Electronic 4
More operations around the world are expanding their use of electronic initiation systems and achieving benefits. Some of the improvements observed from the use of electronic initiation systems include:
- Lower Vibration Levels
- Higher Cast Percentages
- Pattern Expansion
- Improved Fragmentation
- Higher Frequencies
- Improved Highwalls

Our latest electronic initiation system, DigiShot, provides accurate timing, ease of use, and minimal on-bench components. Delay timing is defined on the DigiShot blast box and the blaster can choose either auto-programmed or fully programmable. No delay timing is input on the bench minimizing incorrect delay assignments. Additionally, this system can fire up to 900 detonators in a blast and up to 15 detonators per hole. Plus, DigiShot will support multiple blast boxes - one (1) master and up to two (2) slaves can be used in series for larger blasts.

NONEL® 4
The invention of NONEL® by Dyno Nobel's Swedish organization in the 1970's revolutionized the blasting industry. Instead of electric wires, a hollow plastic shock tube delivers the firing impulse to the detonator, making it immune to most of the hazards associated with stray electrical current. NONEL shock tube is a small diameter, three-layer plastic tube coated on the innermost wall with a reactive explosive compound, which, when initiated, propagates a low energy signal, similar to a dust explosion, at approximately 6,500 ft/sec (2,000 m/sec) along the length of the tubing with minimal disturbance outside of the tube. The design of NONEL detonators incorporates patented technology, including the Cushion Disk (CD) and Delay Ignition Buffer (DIB) to provide reliability and accuracy in all blasting applications.
NONEL detonators are available in the following range of configurations to suit both general and specialized blasting applications.

Electric Detonators 4
Electric detonators have a long track record of reliability and accuracy proven by generations of blasters. Many still prefer the electric system for the ability to test the circuit before the shot is fired. Recent advancements in detonator technology make this electric series more rugged, accurate and static-resistant than ever before.
All ELECTRIC SUPER detonators use Dyno Nobel's "super" fuse technology, which provides precision, accuracy and no delay overlap in all delay periods, with reliable performance even where severe "water hammer" conditions exist. In addition, explosive output exceeds the minimum sensitivity of all detonator sensitive explosives. Legwires are insulated with a superior polyolefin material which offers excellent resistance to cuts, abrasion, oil, low temperature and high humidity. The Dyno Nobel shunt protects the factory-stripped wire ends from corrosion and shields them from stray current.
Dyno Nobel's ELECTRIC SUPER detonators are available in the following types to suit both general and specialized blasting applications.
Electric Super SP
Electric Super SP is a high strength, static resistant, millisecond delay electric detonator available in 26 distinct periods from 5 to 750 milliseconds. Field results with Electric Super SP have shown impressive improvements in vibration control and fragmentation. This detonator is ideal for use in mining, quarrying and construction work.
