DynoMix (ANFO)
Packaged explosives include traditional dynamite, packaged ANFO, emulsion and watergel explosives. Dyno Nobel North America offers a wide variety of 1.1 (detonator sensitive) and 1.5 (booster sensitive) packaged explosives to fit every blasting requirement and geologic need.
Packaged explosives are often referred to as small diameter (20-100 mm diameter x 200-400mm length) or large diameter (100-200 mm diameter x 500-1000 mm length).

Dyno® AP
Cost Effective
Dyno AP, a small diameter detonator sensitive (1.1) emulsion, is an economically appropriate choice for a wide range of general blasting applications, both surface and underground. Conveniently, it can be used either as a column load or a primer.
Better Fragmentation
Dyno AP improves breakage because it is moldable and cohesive, allowing for excellent borehole coupling and very high loading densities when the packages are slit and tamped.
Choice of Packaging
Dyno AP is available in the packaging you prefer: Valeron chub; PMP chub; paper wrapped; or tube shell.
Reliable
Dyno AP is extremely reliable in quarry and construction work when initiated with Dyno Nobel high strength detonators.
No Headaches
Dyno AP does not contain nitroglycerin.

Dyno® MC
DYNO MC is a detonator sensitive, Fume Class 1, all-purpose, packaged emulsion explosive that is recommended for underground non-permissible blasting applications (drifting, quarry and construction). The firm rheology of Dyno MC permits easy handling, rapid loading and enhances performance characteristics. Excellent borehole coupling is achieved when the paper convolute shell tamptite packaging feature is used.

Dyno® SL
Sticks Like Glue
Dyno® SL is a small diameter detonator sensitive (1.1) emulsion . For uphole loading with pneumatic loaders, Dyno SL is the best "sticky" emulsion on the market. It even adheres to wet rock surfaces.
Better Fragmentation
Dyno SL is moldable and cohesive, maximizing borehole coupling which results in improved breakage.
Loads Fast
PMP chub packaging withstands rough handling, yet splits easily upon exiting the pneumatic loader.
Impact and Water Resistant
Dyno SL retains unchanged explosive properties after the impact typical of pneumatic loading and/or when used in severe water conditions.

Dyno® TX
Energetic
Dyno® TX, a small diameter detonator sensitive (1.1) emulsion, has the highest energy of any Dyno Nobel emulsion product. It is suitable for use as a bottom load, a high performance column load or a cost-effective secondary primer.
Dynamic Shock Resistant
Dyno® TX can be detonated in boreholes as close as 2.5 feet without suffering the desensitizing effects of deadpressing. This characteristic makes Dyno® TX ideal for use in ditches, trenches and tight patterns in saturated ground.
Reliable
Dyno® TX is extremely reliable in quarry and construction work when initiated with Dyno Nobel high strength detonators.
No Headaches

Dyno® Xtra
DYNO XTRA is a specialty detonator sensitive emulsion explosive engineered to meet the demands of close borehole blasting and is resistant to dead pressing. Dyno Nobel patented technology allows delay sequencing of 25 ms without loss of sensitivity resulting from the detonation of charges in adjacent boreholes. Dyno Xtra is designed to retain its performance characteristics even when the package is split and slept in wet holes for extended periods of time.

Permissible
Dyno® E-5 is a small diameter detonator sensitive (1.1) emulsion that meets the rigid requirements of the Mine, Safety and Health Administration as a permissible explosive for use in underground coal blasting. It also reduces post-blast fumes, which allows the miner to reenter the blast site sooner, thereby increasing coal production.

Firm consistency and paper packaging give Dyno® E-5 dynamite-like loading characteristics without the nitroglycerin headache.
High Performance
High detonation velocity and bulk strength make Dyno® E-5 the preferred emulsion product for shooting coal off-the-solid and for undercut coal seams containing hard binders.

Dyno® E-5 is an excellent choice for shooting in severe water conditions.

Blastex®
Cost Effective
Blastex, a booster sensitive (1.5) emulsion, is an economical method of building out of water so ANFO can be used as a column load. Even if the packaging is slit, Blastex remains water resistant.
Small Diameter Performance
Blastex is formulated for maximum performance in diameters as small as 2 inches but is also available as large as 8 inches. Choose from three energy levels to suit your geology.
Cold Weather Reliability
Dyno Nobel customers confidently use millions of pounds of Blastex every year, particularly in cold weather, knowing it has earned a reputation for quality and reliability.
Simplified Storage and Transportation
In addition to less restrictive transportation regulations, the 1.5 hazard classification of Blastex allows drop trailer storage.

Large-Diameter Booster Sensitive Emulsion 4
Blastgel® 1000 + 1070

Blastget is a booster sensitive, water resistant, and perchlorate-free packaged emulsion. It is made in a consistency, requested by our customers, that enables clean and easy handling when the package is slit, as well as a loading density which is ideal for sinking in wet boreholes.
This new product line will consist of two product variations:
Blastgel 1000 100% Emulsion
Blastgel 1070 70% Emulsion / 30% ANFO
The properties of the new Blastgel products are very similar to those of its predecessor, Blastgel E.

DynoMix (ANFO) 4
DynoMix™
Where boreholes are dry and the geology is suitable, ammonium nitrate prills and fuel oil (ANFO) is the most commonly used explosive. For bulk loading, the prills and fuel oil are transported in separate compartments on the ANFO truck. At the blast site, these non-explosive ingredients are mixed to become a booster sensitive explosive. DynoMix is also available in MWP or plastic fifty pound bags for convenient loading where bulk delivery is not practical.

DynoMix™ WR
DynoMix WR is a very economical, premixed ammonium nitrate prill and fuel oil explosive with added ingredients formulated to block water penetration when loaded in properly dewatered boreholes. In certain types of wet conditions, it fills the gap between regular ANFO and packaged explosive products. DynoMix WR is conveniently packaged in fifty pound bags.

In addition to less restrictive transportation regulations, the hazard classification of DynoMix and DynoMix WR allows drop trailer storage for bagged product.
