ELECTRIC SUPER DiPED offers an increased level of protection from accidental initiation or unauthorized use never before available from an electric detonator in shot-hole geophysical data acquisition projects for users of geophysical exploration explosives. ELECTRIC SUPER DiPED is a high strength, electric seismic detonator protected with zener diodes and utilizing the proven Super Seismic phenolic plug. ELECTRIC SUPER DiPED does NOT require a blaster interface, software or programming and, in fact, contains NO programming capabilities. Testing is conducted with a special ELECTRIC SUPER DiPED ohm meter. ELECTRIC SUPER DiPED is compatible with seismic condenser discharge blasting machines that are output rated at 400 volts / 100 microfarads.

Geoprime® dBX™4
Engineered Seismic Explosive
Formulated by Dyno Nobel
dBX is the only commercial seismic explosive designed, engineered and formulated by the seismic data industry. dBX was conceived by a geophysicist, engineered by source engineering, formulated and manufactured by Dyno Nobel and field proven in a variety of geographic areas with results achieving 25-35% spectra frequency gain.
Superior Final Data
With moderate velocity (24,000 feet/second; 7300 meters/second), dBX produces improved seismic energy across usable bandwidth as well as improved signal-to-noise ratios as illustrated by field project data comparisons and superior spectra-time migration. With its unique formulation, dBX provides extraordinary explosive-to-earth coupling and transfer of heat, shock and pressure that provides a wavelet which requires less process filters and computer enhancement.
Extraordinarily Low Gas Volume
The unusually low gas volume produced by dBX means even less ground roll, fewer blowouts and minimized potential for aquifer disruption.
Packaging
Packaged in plastic cartridges, dBX is available in the typical weights (1/2, 1 and 2 kg x 57 mm; 1, 2.5 and 5.5 pounds x 2.25 inches) used in the geophysical exploration industry.
dBX is a specially formulated, high density, high energy, detonator sensitive seismic explosive designed exclusively to meet the rigid requirements and environmental extremes associated with geophysical exploration. Offering moderate velocity and extraordinarily low gas production, dBX produces improved seismic energy across usable bandwidth for superior final data as well as improved signal-to-noise ratios. Unlike other seismic explosive products, dBX has a limited sensitivity life. Its unique composition and special packaging feature (self-disarming disk) provide a “time release” mechanism that ultimately desensitizes the charge in wet boreholes.

ELECTRIC SUPER SEISMIC has the high output strength, impact resistance and superior accuracy of all Dyno Nobel electric detonators. Now made with a copper shell, the ELECTRIC SUPER SEISMIC offers improved corrosion resistance in the most severe seismic environments. Testing demonstrates that the copper shell ELECTRIC SUPER SEISMIC detonator also has improved energy output and increased impact resistance. The ELECTRIC SUPER SEISMIC detonator is ideally suited for geophysical exploration work because it fires with no appreciable time lag between the application of the proper current/amperes and detonation.
Designed for Safety
An internal, high strength metal sleeve (rated at 40,000 psi) protects sensitive delay elements from misfires due to hydrostatic pressure or rough handling. In addition, multiple anti-static features minimize the risk of accidental detonation. Reliability and performance is the heart of the Electric Super Seismic detonator. Internal components and statistical process controls assure each and every detonator meets IAGC’s rigorous standards of the seismic industry.
High Strength
Electric Super Seismic detonators can make a successful shot out of a potential failure, especially when blasting at low temperatures, high hydrostatic conditions or seismic environment because they have the highest output strength in the industry.

VIBROGEL MINI-HOLE is a high density, high velocity, high energy gelatin dynamite available in either a plastic or paper tube shell that has been in use in the geophysical industry for decades. VIBROGEL MINI-HOLE produces a sharp pulse of seismic energy and detonates completely at high velocity, even under the environmental extremes of temperature, hydrostatic pressure, and prolonged water immersion periods frequently encountered in geophysical exploration.

Geoseis® Cut-to-Fit System4
GEOSEIS Cut-to-Fit seismic shot initiation system is a unique system that eliminates the detonator from the hole, negating the need to handle the explosive charge and
detonator at the same time. The GEOSEIS system is made up of four components :
- GEOSEIS detonating cord; a strong flexible detonating cord that is resistant to abrasion cutting, temperature extremes and penetration of water and oil.
- GEOSEIS surface detonator; a low output electric seismic detonator that is housed in a plastic connector block.
- GEOPRIME seismic booster; a high energy, highly reliable seismic explosive containing patented bioremediation technology, made with the highest quality PETN and other high explosives to ensure reliability and durability.
